We Remember Victory in Europe Day (VE-Day), 1945
The remains of a German Luftwaffe Ju-88 night fighter litter one of the airfields the 371st Fighter Group operated from during World War II. The 371st claimed credit for 165 enemy aircraft destroyed on the ground during World War II, and another 71 in the air. (The Story of the 371st Fighter Group in the E.T.O.)
